Adam Parson - JAZZ TUTOR

Originally from Nairobi, Kenya, choreographer and artistic director Adam Parson is well known for his multifaceted choreography and his unique approach to music makes him one of the most sought after choreographers in the dance industry.

He has worked in stage, film, TV and industrials for clients such as Fila, NBC, Redken, Power Rangers, Prince, R&B artist Monica, Pepsi, Shell Oil, and performed the ballet "Rodeo" at the White House for President Bill Clinton. His versatility has led him to work for So You Think You Can Dance Australia, create duets for the Prima Ballerina for Seoul National Ballet and the Prima Ballerina for Ballet Folklorico de Mexico, create an Industry show for Redken, choreograph the film “Love on a Sunday Afternoon,” as well as choreograph the halftime shows for the WNBA Sparks at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Highly in demand for his excellent teaching skills, he is commissioned all over the world to train, encourage and get the best out of his dancers.

Students he has trained are working in Beyonce’s tours, Britney Spears Vegas show, Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson’s Immortal and ONE, Glee, So You Think You Can Dance, Kylie Minogue, Justin Beiber, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo, Madonna, Bring it on, Memphis, The Muppets, Wicked on Broadway, Newsies on Broadway, The Academy Awards, The Grammy Awards, The Emmy Awards, The American Music Awards and much more.

Adrian Ricks - LYRICAL TUTOR - Auckland

Adrian was born in Melbourne and began dancing at the age of four under the tuition of Tania Attard (Attitudes Dance Studio) and later at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, graduating in 2002.
Adrian’s stage debut was at the age of 8, in the play `An Inspector Calls' at the Comedy Theatre, Melbourne (with the Royal Theatre of Great Britain) in the lead child role. Adrian’s professional musical theatre debut was in CATS (South Korea Tent Top Tour) in the role of Coricopat. He then took on the role of Mr.Mistofelees for the World Tour performing over seven years as well as taking on the additional role of Dance Captain in his last year.

Adrian also works as a freelance dance teacher at such full-time institutions such as Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance, Dance World Studios, Patrick Studios Australia and The Edge Performers School. Adrian has also choreographed for David Jaanz singers and Collaboration The Project. Other work includes fashion parades, commercials and performing at the 2003 Grand Prix Ball. He has also appeared on Rove Live, Neighbours, Carols by Candlelight and the short movie Short Cuts. Adrian also performed at KPMG’s corporate event at Crown Palladium, choreographed by Yvette Lee and directed by Jason Coleman. As well as performing, Adrian was assistant choreographer.

Most recently Adrian started his own company – RickStix Productions. Its debut season of ‘Release’ was presented in July at Gasworks Theatre to rave reviews. RickStix Productions produce work that is primarily contemporary with diverse dance styles and in future projects, will be showcasing all facets of theatre. Adrian is looking forward to this new venture and chapter in his career. 

Timothy Barnes - LYRICAL TUTOR - Wellington

Timothy trained full time in classical ballet at the Australian International School of Coaching and then graduated from Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance in 2009. He was a contestant on "So You Think You Can Dance" Australia 2010 and travelled the world performing shows for Princess Cruises throughout 2011.

Timothy has worked commercially with artists such as Squared Division, Kimbra, Delta Goodrem, Joel Creasey, Red foo, Zoe Badwi and Kylie Minogue. Tim is the Co-Director of Melbourne based contemporary dance company “Scimm Dance Company” and “Platforms Youth Company” which have produced several professional contemporary dance productions.

He has taught at many schools throughout Australia and has extensive experience as a performer, teacher and choreographer.

 Stephen Tannos - URBAN TUTOR

Stephen Tannos is arguably one of the most innovative minds in Performing Arts in Australia. His unique and exhilarating choreography, combined with his infectious personality and incredible work ethic has quickly established Stephen, as the most in-demand Choreographer in the country.

Stephen was born in Sydney and has trained extensively in all styles of dance as well as singing and acting. His career took off initially in Musical Theatre with roles in Cats('Tumblebrutus' and understudy to 'Mungojerry') and Fame -The Musical choreographed and directed by Kelley Abbey, where he toured all through Australia. He was also part of the cast of a large-scale production of the opera 'Carmen' Choreographed by Kelley Abbey in 2013.

Stephen has also enjoyed much commercial success as a performer - he was selected to be a part of the Top 20 in the 2009 season of the hit TV show So You Think You Can Dancewhere he gained notoriety for his unusual dance style. His credits also include dancing with Artists such as Ricky Martin, Natalie Bassingthwaite, Jess Mauboy, Ricki Lee as well as countless performances and appearances on various TV shows. However, it is now Stephen’s choreography and direction skills that are truly making the industry sit up and take notice – both locally and internationally. It began with showcases and events and then Stephen collaborated with Morgan Choice to create and direct 'Tannos & Choice' with help from Producer Marko Panzic. Their very first production played sold out seasons in both Sydney and Tasmania and received overwhelming feedback from the public and their peers in the industry.

Most recently Stephen’s stand-alone choreography has been featured on Channel 10’s So You Think You Can Dance. He had the privilege of creating six routines including one group routine - all to rave reviews from the judges and the public. Stephen plans to continue pushing limits; creating original, mind-blowing performances as Choreographer and a Director as well as flexing his own performance muscles on select projects. He truly is a one of a kind Artist.

Jason Weiland -  HIP HOP TUTOR

Jason Weliland hailes from Brisbane, Australia and is the owner and Creative Director of The Hood Dance Academy.

At only 22 years of age Jason has achieved a wealth of experience and recognition having represented Australia at the World Hip Hop Championships in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 , 2017 in such teams as Checkmate, The D and HoodNation and most recently having all 3 of his teams from the hood qualify to represent Australia in Hip Hop International 2018 in Arizona, Phoenix this August.

Jason is recognised for his powerful and creative conceptional choreography, inspired by different influences and experiences including significant events from the world around us.

His passion and genuine love for dance are his driving forces and these qualities continue to have an amazing effect on the character and development of his inspiring work. 



Tyne Stecklein is a multi-talented actress and dancer, originally from Aurora, Colorado. She now resides in Los Angeles where she works on tv, film, and stage shows. Some of her favorite credits include - being a lead dancer for MICHAEL JACKSON and featured in the film THIS IS IT, being a professional dancer on DANCING WITH THE STARS, dancing on the OSCARS, and playing the role of Jesse in the film BURLESQUE.

Her dance career began with the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL CONCERT TOUR when she had just turned 18. As an actress, some of her TV credits include BODY OF PROOF, TRUE BLOOD, CSI, GLEE, FRANKLIN AND BASH, and FULLER HOUSE. Some of her big screen credits include STEP BROTHERS, 17 AGAIN, BEHIND THE CANDELABRA, NO STRINGS ATTACHED, ROCK OF AGES, and TED2.

Tyne has danced for many artists including Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, CHER, and Luke Bryan. Her commercial credits include Adidas, Old Navy, Dasani, Microsoft, Southwest Airlines, Ford, and Schick. She is very excited to have just joined THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY, and looks forward to getting back on stage soon!

Tyne is very passionate about storytelling and artistry, and loves that she can use both dance and acting to do so! In her spare time, Tyne loves to travel around the country and teach young aspiring dancers. 


She has had a hiatus but the incredible Sarah Boulter is back for Kairos in  2018!
Sarah Boulter is the Director of Ev and Bow - a Sydney based Full-Time Training Centre which is producing beautiful dancers in the top of their fields.

Sarah is hugely sought after for her INSANE choreographic ingenuity and has produced pieces for The Dream Dance Company , SYTYCD UK and AUS, Dance Academy, Jennifer Hudson and Puberty Blues!

Sarah spent two years living in Las Vegas where she had the amazing opportunity of working in the Celine Dion show “A New Day”, working with great names such as Mia Michaels and Franco Dragone.

But as well as being an exceptional performer and choreographer, Sarah is a phenomenal. Not only is her knowledge and content great, but the way she delivers it and ensures it is absorbed by EVERY SINGLE STUDENT is amazing! Every detail is explored and appreciated.
